What is CPS?
CPS means clicks per second: your total clicks divided by the length of the test. It is the standard click-speed measure in games like Minecraft PvP, where faster clicking means more hits. Five seconds is the classic CPS test length: long enough to be fair, short enough to go flat out.
CPS benchmarks
Most people score 6–7 CPS on their first tries. 8–9 is fast for normal clicking; 10–14 is jitter-click territory and 15+ usually takes butterfly or drag clicking. See the full score bands on our rankings page.
Frequently asked questions
What is the world record CPS?
Records vary by technique and are not verified consistently. Normal clicking tops out around 14–16 CPS; drag clicking can register far higher, which is why many servers limit CPS.
Why does my mouse register extra clicks?
Worn switches can "chatter", sending two clicks for one press. Check it with our mouse test, which flags suspicious double clicks.
Is the 1-second test accurate?
It is accurate but very sensitive: one extra click changes the CPS by a full point. Use 5 or 10 seconds for a steadier number.
